They split the group up a few ways... several of us going back to high schools. I went with a group back to Veres Paine and we did about 4 English classes. It was a special day as it was a day for freshman. They have this tradition of making the freshman class do something every year to mark them being "new". This year, they had them dress up as old people because of them getting older, but they had to wear stork noses because they were "babies" (like the stork brough them). Some of them looked pretty funny and had put together good costumes.
We had some good conversations, but the classes we had yesterday had much better English skills.
Between classes, we would go to the library to wait for the next class. It was quite odd to see, in the very first shelf I looked at, in a public school, a row of Bibles.
QUIET!
Ah! My dear friends in Hungarian!
Do you notice anything strange about these books? Look at the binding. The titles and authors are printed the opposite way on our bindings... crazy!
After we finished class, we had free time until later. Adrienne (the girl in the turquiose shirt - she's from Dallas) and I had a chance to go off down Vaci and do some shopping and then sat for quite a while in a nice outside restaurant eating and talking. This is one of the great things that I love about the trip - getting to know other people. Unfortunately, because I've got "baggage" with me this year ( :) - I meant to say, I've got baggage under my eyes from trying to keep track of those wild Crossroads people :)), I've not gotten to know as many people as I usually do. Adrienne and I really clicked and we just had such a good time, literally - fellowshipping! We sat at the restaurant for about 2 or 3 hours just talking about life and BHHP. It was great.
As we meandered down the street, I was able to show her the good shops. We passed the one jewlery store and they had these amazing amber pieces -- look at the massive green one! It must weigh about 90 lbs!
Once again, the beautiful covered market.
Mark, Jayne and Tammie had to get up pretty early to go about 3 hours outside of Budapest as they were going to see the new Contrast Exhibit.
Gabor talking to some of the teachers at the high school about the YTL program and the Contrast Exhibit
The contrast exhibit -- from what Mark and Jayne explained -- there are about 7 different sections where they show videos pertaining to the topic. Abortion, drug abuse, family violence, etc. You walk through the whole exhibit - which they said was EXTREMELY moving (Jayne said she cried several times) and then you end up watching a video ...

We all met back at a church where FEK (the high school student organization) meets for their Friday night coffeehouse. This was a special night as they did a special IMRPOV evening with skits. It was great to see the kids just laughing and having a great time! There were quite a few kids that came from the high schools we were at and one of the other Hungarian students stood up afterwards and gave his testimony so a lot of the kids heard the gospel. They were expecting a better turn out but didn't realize that there was a freshman dance this evening as well so most of the freshman were not able to come.
These are the CDs that Mark got a record company in Nashville to send to us to hand out -- we had over 1000 of the CDs and the kids really loved them.

There was a white team and a black team for the Improv. It actually was pretty funny even if I couldn't understand all of it.
Angela was a girl that I met during the show - she asked me to meet her for coffee next week since I'm still around and I may try to.
We've all gotten addicted to Burger King after our evening meetings.. bad habit but at least we have to walk a lot here...
