Wedding #3!:)

This weekend was wedding number 3 in Atlanta area.  This wedding, though, I had the pleasure of being accompanied by stupendous Sean!:). I say stupendous for several reasons...
1.  He's packing to, God willing, move and so that he took the time out of his schedule to come with me is amazingly generous of him!
2.  He was willing to stay in a house with not 1, not 2, not even three women, but 6 ... Yes SIX women and even sit quietly in his bedroom while 10 of us partied in the living room late Friday evening using a bachelorette lingerie party!  His giving and loving is that!
3.  He was totally cool with sitting through the wedding of a person he had only met once and didn't know anyone else but me at!
Have a found myself a catch or what?!!!!

So the wedding was my friends Michelle and Luke.  They're both missionaries in Budapest with Cru.  I met Michelle abiut 5 years ago when she did her first ever mission trip to Budapest!

We stayed at this nice big place in Demoresr, GA that was right on this amazing stream in the woods.

And the wedding was in Cleveland, GA in a barn (just like the Asheville wedding - but this barn was air conditioned and they did the ceremony upstairs and the reception downstairs.  Beautiful and nice and cool!:)

Ta da - Mr and Mrs Luke Stannard!  You couldn't meet two sweeter most amazing people who really just want to do what God wants them to do and part of that includes spending life together!

And so Sean completes the attendnce of wedding number 3 with me... Which its way better to attend a wedding with someone... Even better someone you like!  Even better someone you love!:)
Afterwards, we were invited by my friend Amanda and her boyfriend Michael to go to a winery near Cleveland called Yonah (which means Bear in Cherokee) Mountain Winery.  Great winery and wine, beautiful scenery and super friends!

And then after that, Sean and I decided to take a nice little hike to a nearby waterfall!

On Sunday morning we drove and hour and a half to go to church in Greenville and then went out for breakfast with Alan, Cindy and Riley before heading back to Atlanta to fly out.

Fun, friends, family, full weekend!

Yuck....

I stayed home sick today.  I've got this ridiculous summer cold.  I've just been laying in bed.  And I have to say, nothing beats having a dog that will just lay in bed with you all day...Love:)

Home For A Weekend!

Both Sean and I have been gone so much the past few weekends.  We're either gone together or one is home and one is gone.  I've honestly been dying to have just one weekend at home.  And this past weekend was the weekend I've waited for!

I got stuff done at home and with Calvin.  I got to go to church on Sunday!!!!!  And Sean and I got to spend some quality time together out on the water!  Can't beat 80 degree weather and a pontoon boat with a good guy and a pretty good dog (sometimes :).

Loved my weekend!

Wedding #2

Remember how its my year of weddings!

One down in the spring with my nephew's wedding...
And now the great deluge hits!

Last weekend was my friend Yvonne who I've known for years.  She used to live by me but she moved down to Asheville, NC about 7 or so years ago.

She met Rob about 2 years ago and last weekend - they were wed! :)

It was a busy but fun wedding as I made a new friend with one of her old friends and got some good girl time doing nails and staying at this amazingly remote house.

It was seriously life threatening getting back up to the house everyday - on dirt roads that went almost straight up.  And in the dark, it was the scene from one of those movies where deranged men with hockey masks come after you with a chainsaw.  Frightening!

But the view once the day came was breathtaking!....

The house was intriguing!....

And the company - sublime! :)

The wedding was busy!

Beautiful!...

Full of love!....

Full of friends!....

And full of... country! :)

What a great weekend with friends and for a wedding!  Now praying that the marriage after the wedding blooms and grows!

The Meeting Of The Moms

This past weekend for the July 4th holiday, Sean and I took mom down to meet his mom as she's been doing much better.

Mom hasn't been on a plane for about 5 years so I was a little nervous about how she'd do but she was amazing!  It helped that Sean was there to help so I didn't sweat the small stuff.

We landed, got a car and since it was 6 by then we just went straight to one of our favorite restaurants by Seans moms house, Aqua Grill.

After we ate, first stop - the ocean!:).

Then we went home and got some sleep so the next day we could do more stuff!  In the afternoon we went downtown Jacksonville to the Cummer Art Gallery and Gardens right on the St Johns River. Seans mom is an artist and she used to have a connection with the Cummer so I'd been wanting to see it.

We walked around the gardens ...

And then walked around the art gallery a little...

We then went down to Atlantic Beach and saw where Sean went to high school and where he lived and then we ate down in the beach area
.
Friday morning was another sunny morning - I actually woke up a little early and just had some alone time on the back pool deck watching the sun get brighter.

And once we were all awake we jumped in the car and headed to an 11 am River cruise in St Augustine!

A beautiful day where the boat breeze felt good - and even Dolphins came out to enjoy the waves we made!

We went down to the lighthouse and turned around there.

And then we drove around St Augustine in the car getting a "Sean" tour....

Just long enough to enjoy but quick enough to head back to do an early dinner with his mom.

We were going to take her to Red Lobster but ended up brining the Lobster  to her!  There's a great deck on the water at the rehab place she's at so we enjoyed our founder there!

Happy 4th of July!

We went and picked his mom up to take her where her brother lives.  We met him and some friends and had some barbecue and some laughs.  Mom really enjoyed herself!

Mom and Mrs Gartland and her brother Nels.

Later in the evening we were going down to the beach for some fireworks and passed the golf course and saw tons of people and a tent and so we stopped there and had an awesome fireworks display...

And then Sean took us down to the beach and gave us another fireworks show!

Saturday -we all laid low after lunch with his mom.  Mom got to sit out by the pool and get some sun.  And we went down to the beach again.

Oh and one last FL pict.... Where else can you see an alligator and a giant turtle by a scummy reservoir....:)

Happy belated Fourth of July.... Back in the chilly Midwest!
