Tour Days On Saturday and Sunday - Seeing The Sites of Budapest!

From Castle Hill/Old Town area.

Maytas Church - up on Castle Hill.
Some of my friends from the group this year - Elsa, Lisa and Adrienne - all from Dallas from a company called Interstate Batteries which is a Christian based company.
Mark and Jayne in front of Parliament
I think this is like King Maytas or something like that. I just like the statue
The little neighborhood around Castle Hill
By the Castle. The Hungarian Military Band - they started off playing some beautiful classical music and by the time we finally got down that way, they had moved on to Fiddler On the Roof and -- can you believe - the Girl from Ipanema.... Just not regal for the palace!
With Elsa and with Adrienne
On Castle Hill -- you can see the bullet holes on the side of the building from the revolution.
On to the House of Terror - the third year! :) This building was used under teh Nazis and under the Soviets for "questioning" and torture. Its an extremely sad place but gives you a lot of history.
Heros Square. Its has the 7 great generals of Hungary around the bottom of the pillar and then around in the arches are the great "hero" kings of Hungary, including the first Christian King, King Stephen.
The generals - or as Mark would like to think - a really sweet football team!

This was the summer palace of someone or other - its beautiful!

Elsa buying corn on the cob from a cart.
This little old woman was tatting - her pieces were beautiful but so expensive.
This was Sunday morning -- we sadly bid our room at the Classic "adieu"!
Tammie hanging on for dear life on the underground Metra....
The underground is WAY down! Its so freaky looking up or down -- its way too scary!
Parliament
I love all the little old people in Eastern Europe... They just dress so cute and stroll around. Too sweet!
Kossuth, a Hungarian Freedom Fighter - apparently he's around out country as well in statues and street names.
They use the Danube to tranport goods like we use the Mississippi.
This is a memorial down by the Danube - during the Nazi occupation, they would take the Jews down to the Danube and shoot them into the river.
